HOW TO BUY (general instructions)
Our catalogue is organized in three sections. Browse it and select the options showed in the relevant scrolling menu on the side of the picture of the item of your choice (ceramics, table top, base, chair). The price of your preferred option will appear in the last window box on the right. After having selected the item you desire to buy, please contact us via telephone or e-mail specifying :
1) Item "name" and/or "decoration"
2) Reference number of the item (Art.)
3) The destination where you would like the merchandise to be delivered (country, city and zip code).
Your e-mail message will be promptly answered by us giving you an estimate of the total cost, shipping included. Please note that the prices on the web catalogue are not inclusive of shipping. Thus, in your own interest, before the order can be considered we need to know where the goods have to be shipped. There are usually two major shipping options : air freight and sea freight. Please specify which one you are more interested in, taking into account that the former is usually fastest but more expensive. Once you receive from us the estimate of the total cost, we ask you to send us a confirmation e-mail, including your personal data (name, address, phone). We will e-mail you the necessary data for the payment. For table tops and bases our policy requires you to pay the first half of the total amount in advance and clear the balance once the merchandise is ready to be shipped from our factory in Deruta (Italy). Shipping time may vary from ten to forty days, depending on the products purchased and delivery destination. top

HOW TO PAY
All the prices advertized on the web pages are in Euro consequently every purchase is finalized in the same currency. We give the prospective customer two different options:

CONDITIONS OF SALE
Every order is considered final only when the preliminary payment has been received. We then proceed to manufacture the products ordered from us. When they are completed and ready to be shipped we request the customer to complete the payment. Only when the balance has been cleared we will ship the merchandise to the specified address. Under no circumstance we will refund the initial amount in case the buyer would be unable to complete the payment. In the occurrence of this situation, the ordered merchandise will remain our own property and no claims will be accepted unless the the total amount is fully paid.
Quality is an important issue for us. Our products are guaranteed by the trademark "Quattro Gatti Deruta Ceramics" and we make a constant effort to set the quality standards for our products to the highest level. The customer has to remember, though, that we produce and sell hand-made products that may undergo very slight variations depending on the artist realizing them. Thus any minor difference between the catalogue picture and what the buyer actually receives should be considered an element that qualifies our products not a source of complaints.
We have a very strict refund policy and do not we accept back items already purchased on the sole basis of dislike. Only in case of serious verified defect we guarantee a partial refund or compensate fixing the eventual problem.
Prices shown are net of Taxes and Duties (VAT or GST or IVA as are they named in other Countries). Usually the Custom of the Country of destination establishes if and when such duties are due. When this applies it is due to the customer to clear the issue before delivery.
All our pieces are insured for delivery. In case of damage during the delivery, the shipping company will refund the total cost of the item including the shipping. We may then reproduce the damaged item and send it back to the customer at no extra charge.
This contract is governed by Italian law.
The sole competent court in any litigation is that of Rome, Italy. top

HOW WE DELIVER
We use different methods depending on the products to be delivered:
Ceramics:
We use standard international couriers like FedEx, DHL, UPS. These companies deliver by express air service for relatively small packages. The international economy is used in case of bigger packages. In both cases customers are provided a tracking number and the delivery process takes approximately a week. All the goods are fully insured by the same couriers. We strongly encourage our customers to check the integrity of the merchandise before signing the delivery acceptance form. In case of breakage we suggest to take pictures of the damaged item for insurance documentation.
Table Tops, Bases and Chairs
For these heavier and larger items we make use of international freight companies like Danzas , DHL or FedEx. Since these products require a good deal of volume and have a considerable weight we offer two possible shipping options: a) air freight b) sea freight.
a) This is a fast way of receiving our products (10-15 days) but is more expensive. The ratio speed to cost is particularly convenient for packages under the cubic meter (table top size of 1000 mm or smaller). It increases considerably for bigger crates.
b) This is a more cost convenient option (expecially for large tables) but it requires around 40 days for delivery and is worth only if the final destination is not too far away from a sea port (due to high cost of ground transportation).
In both cases all the merchandise is covered by an all inclusive insurance and any damage is refunded completely by the shipping company.
Note: We usually deliver factory to door, but at customer request we may deliver factory to port (or airport) leaving to the customer the organization of the custom clearance and ground transportation. Clearly this would considerably reduce the shipping cost. top

SPECIAL OFFERS & DISCOUNTS
For the convenience of our customers, we have a section of our catalogue devoted to special offers of table tops, in a limited number of decorations and size, coupled to a base and 2/4 chairs (depending on the size of the top). The advertized prices of the sets are in some cases 1000 Euro less expensive than the sum of the prices of the single items. We strongly encourage our customers to take into consideration these special offers.
In some particular cases we may offer discounts on multiple purchase. Some of these are already included among the options in our web catalogue. Additional discounts may be arranged but are solely based on the quantity of items purchased. No discounts are offered to single orders of a table top plus base.
Retailers should look at the appropriate web page dedicated to them and contact us directly. Special conditions are guaranteed to retailers on a case by case basis. top

Our apologies have ben flat out what with wedding and Xmas its now all over. The tables are superb and well used. We love them more than we expected. Were very lucky to get them after you rang Gary went off and was sent all over the place and finally ended up somewhere where they had all gone on Xmas holiday but were still there celebrting so some one took pity on him and opened up hthe storage for him. I apologize for not responding sooner. The table top is absolutely exquisite. It has produced a newfound gathering place on my patio. I was very surprised to find that the table was signed by the artisan who painted the stone. Did he follow the stone through the entire process? Friends have said the it looks as if it was there for several years however it has been only less then a month. Once again thank you. By the way how impervious to scratching is the finish? I have many different candles to accent and the wax spills all so slightly. Also I love the fact that I ordered the 1500 table, there is room for all my guests. With the kindest regards,

The table arrived Monday and it is absolutely beautiful. I will be happy to have it for the rest of my life and it has found a good home. It gets very cold where I live in the winter. So I am planning to cover the top with plastic, but leave it outside where show will fall and ice will form on it. Should I protect it in any other way? Put something between the table top and plastic, perhaps? I'm not worried about the base -- that will rust over time and get more beautiful. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks, Maria.
